Thurs, Oct 12 Black and White in Exile (120 min) Tribute to the late Ray Blanco, Plainfield City Councilman and Filmmaker, and screening of his Emmy Award-winning documentary. Hispanic Heritage Month, September 15 - October 15

Welcome to the Plainfield Cultural and Heritage Commission's official weblog of events for the 2006 celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, an annual event that takes place from September 15 - October 15th!

We have many exciting cultural and arts events planned, along with educational forums on issues affecting the Latino community in Plainfield and in the greater New Jersey area.

We will be posting a calendar of events scheduled throughout September and October, and we hope you will join us.

The opening night ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, September 14, at the Plainfield Public Library. Stay tuned for more details!
